Also called Arrozena or Arrocena Rice Flour uses: Rice flour is made from broken grain and used in a variety of food products including breakfast cereals, and snack foods. Rice flour is also used in composite flours for baking i.e. blends of up to 20% of rice flour into wheat flours. Baby cereal: Precooked rice cereal is frequently prescribed as the infant’s first solid food. Precooked rice cereal is produced by preparing and cooking a slurry, and subsequently drying the slurry in drum drier. Extrusion-cooking is also used. Thickening agent: Rice flour from waxy/glutinous rice is used as thickening agent for sauces, puddings and oriental snack foods. HORCHATA DRINK OR AGUA DE HORCHATA Blend a cup of milk mixed with 2 tbsp of Tres Estrellas Rice Flour, a cinnamon stick and 1 tsp of vanilla extract. Straining all thru a fine colander, mix everything together in a 2 QTS pitcher with water; add ice and sugar to taste. Serve and enjoy! (You may substitute condensed milk instead of regular milk and sugar).
